Product List View
The "product list" tab is where all products in a user's account are arranged.
Products in a user's account are automatically arranged by the "last modified" column when opening the product dashboard. The user has the ability to rearrange in which order the products should be displayed. This can be useful when searching for a specific product to edit, or when searching for products based on some shared characteristic. There are six ways in which products can be ordered in the product list view. They can be arranged by Product name, SKU, Status, Last Modified, Quantity and Price.
The Product name column allows users to arrange products alphabetically. A user can select the "product name" title and it will turn blue to indicate that the products are being arranged alphabetically. When this view is selected the first time it will arrange the products from A to Z.
If "product name" is selected again it will arrange the products from Z to A.
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
Selecting the "SKU" column will arrange the products according to their stock keeping unit. Once this is selected the first time it will arrange products from A-Z starting with products that have no SKU.
If this column is selected again it will arrange the products from Z-A based on their SKU.
The "Status" column has a drop-down menu which allows the user to arrange the products according to their status in the system There are four status types; All, Active, Inactive and Deleted. The "All" option will show all the products that are currently in the system. The "Active" status will show all active products. Active products are visible in the marketplace. The "inactive" status will show all products that are inactive and not visible in the marketplace. The "deleted" section will show all deleted products. Deleted products only stay in the system for 48 hours. After this time has passed, they are automatically permanently removed from the user's account.
The "Last Modified" section arranges the products by the date that they were modified. When selected for the first time it will arrange products in order from the last modified to the most recently modified.
If the "last modified" section is selected for the second time it will arrange products from most recently modified to the last modified.
The quantity column allows the user to change the order of the products according to the quantity in stock. If this is selected the first time it will arrange the products from lowest to most available quantity.
If the QTY column is selected again it will arrange the products from most to least.
The "price" column allows the user to arrange products according to their price. If this is selected the first time it will arrange products from the lowest to the highest price.
If this is selected the second time it will arrange the products from the highest to the lowest price.
Arranging products according to specific criteria can prove to be both useful and insightful to a seller.
